Meet Erik

My parents divorced when I was 2 years old, and as the youngest of  6 brothers and sisters, it was a difficult childhood. Growing up wasn’t perfect for me. I had a lot of emotions and questions as to why mom and dad couldn’t just be together. In high school I remember telling myself that if I ever got married and had kids I would work to make sure my kids would never know what it meant to grow up in a divorced home. Today, I am married to my best friend and the love of my life, Cristina. We’ve been married for 14 years, and we have the honor of raising our two kids, Judah and Uriyah.  One of my passions is supporting strong and safe families.

I've worked hard and now own two thriving companies.  It's tough work starting a business and building it to succeed, but I love people and running a business gives me opportunities to serve people as customers and empower people as employees. Helping businesses grow and succeed is one of my passions.

I've learned that the intersections of city, family, small businesses and schools is community. And for our community to thrive, we need safe, walkable, rideable, and clean streets to interconnect them all.

My family lives and attends church in District 9, my kids are educated in District 9, and my business is based in District 9. I know and listen to the concerns in District 9 every day. Fort Worth isn't just where we live- it is "home" and it is a community my family loves dearly.
